GPS to SMS is an iPhone app that makes it possible to share your current location by sending a SMS or E-Mail.

The message contains the GPS position data and a link to Google Maps. On the iPhone of the receiver the Google Maps Link is opened with the Maps-App. So its possible to use the Maps-Navigation to find the route to the sender of the message.
A great advantage over similar apps is that it even works without internet access, so it's great tool for outdoor activities like e.g. hiking, mountain biking.
